Como 1907 have reportedly ruled out the possibility of selling Nico Paz during the January transfer window despite growing interest from three major Premier League clubs. Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all believed to be monitoring the Argentine midfielder after his impressive performances attracted attention across Europe. However, Como are determined to keep one of their most important players as they pursue their ambitions this season.
Paz has become a highly sought-after talent following his outstanding display against Manchester United in the Champions League earlier this month. The 21-year-old played a major role in Como's remarkable 4-1 victory, scoring twice and providing an assist. His performance further strengthened his reputation and placed him firmly on the radar of several top European clubs, particularly those looking to strengthen their midfield options.
Manchester United's interest could become more significant as uncertainty surrounds Bruno Fernandes' long-term future at Old Trafford. The Portuguese midfielder was left out of the starting line-up for the defeat against Bournemouth after expressing concerns about Michael Carrick's tactical approach. With his current contract approaching its final year, United may consider Paz as a potential long-term replacement, although the club has an option to extend Fernandes' deal until 2028.
Despite the growing attention, Como have no intention of weakening their squad halfway through the campaign. According to TEAMtalk, head coach Cesc Fabregas is determined to retain Paz while the Italian side competes in Serie A and European competitions. Any Premier League club attempting to negotiate a January transfer would reportedly face a valuation exceeding €100 million. Real Madrid also remain in a strong position, having secured a buy-back option worth approximately €80 million that could be activated next summer.
Paz's impressive statistics explain why Como are so reluctant to let him go. He has recorded three goals and three assists in eight Serie A appearances, while contributing to five goals across three Champions League matches. The club reportedly considers him essential to its long-term project and is unwilling to entertain offers before the summer of 2027. Consequently, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea may have to wait considerably longer if they hope to secure his signature.
