“Thank you, everyone. First of all, I’d like to thank the Ballon d’Or and France Football for presenting me with this award. The past year has been an incredible one for me. I’m immensely proud to have scored so many goals. Without a doubt, this has been the best season of my career. None of this would have been possible without the support of everyone around me.

“Obviously, I’d first like to thank my teammates at Bayern Munich and with the England national team, as well as the coaching staff and the managers. Everyone knows that you can’t score this many goals without your teammates providing those wonderful assists time and time again, or without everyone giving their all in training and matches. None of this would have been possible without them, so thank you very much.

“I’d also like to thank my family. Quite simply, I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. They’re all here tonight, along with my entire support team, who help keep me grounded.

“And of course, my wife, who’s sitting somewhere in the audience tonight, although I haven’t quite spotted her yet. We’ve been on this journey together every step of the way, and I know I wouldn’t have achieved what I have today without you.

“There are so many people I’d like to thank at this moment, but I don’t want to keep everyone here too long. I’ll send you all a message later! Thank you once again, everyone, and I hope you all have a wonderful evening.”
