According to British newspaper The Sun, former Chelsea striker Liam Delap, who joined Nottingham Forest this season, has recently purchased a new car.
Delap, who missed a golden opportunity in Nottingham Forest’s defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday, was spotted showing off his stunning Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
The striker customized the supercar, which has a top speed of 184 mph, adding the Weissach Package, lightweight magnesium wheels and a bespoke paint finish.
These upgrades mean the Nottingham Forest forward is estimated to have spent at least £220,000 on his new ride.
The Porsche Centre Guildford, located just 12.5 miles from Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, shared a photo of Delap collecting his new car on social media.
The dealership wrote: “A very special delivery took place at Porsche Centre Guildford this week, as our customer Liam Delap collected his stunning 911 GT3 RS finished in Arctic Grey. Equipped with the Weissach Package and complemented by 20/21-inch GT3 RS forged magnesium lightweight wheels, this incredible sports car is as striking as it is performance-focused. Congratulations, and enjoy the journeys ahead!”
Previous reports indicate that Delap earns £100,000 per week before tax at Nottingham Forest.
The 23-year-old striker joined Forest from Chelsea in August for £50 million, becoming the most expensive signing in the club’s history. Delap has started each of Nottingham Forest’s last four Premier League matches and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa last month.
However, he missed a clear-cut scoring opportunity in Forest’s 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
