England head into their UEFA Nations League meeting with the Czech Republic full of confidence after producing one of the most impressive performances of their recent international campaign. Thomas Tuchel's side demolished Croatia 7-0, with Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka both scoring twice while Jude Bellingham, Morgan Rogers and Anthony Gordon also found the net. The victory was England's biggest against a top-50 opponent since 1992 and Croatia's heaviest defeat since becoming an independent nation. With nine goals scored and none conceded in their last two matches, England are now second in their group behind Spain and are in a strong position to reach the quarter-finals. The Czech Republic face a far more difficult situation after losing all three of their Nations League matches. Their latest defeat came against Spain, where they briefly threatened to make the contest competitive before conceding again and losing further momentum following Ladislav Krejci's dismissal. The result extended their winless run to six matches, including four consecutive defeats, leaving them at the bottom of the group without a point. Their record against England offers little encouragement either, as they have never won away against the Three Lions and have struggled to produce consistent results since the 2026 World Cup. Another defeat could leave them facing an unwanted record of five consecutive losses.

Recent major tweaks to England's midfield setup have unlocked far more varied attacking patterns, even as their last few outings failed to meet fan expectations. There is no huge overall performance gap between the two sides on paper, and the Czech Republic have turned in very solid showings of late. That said, England have held a distinct edge across all their past head-to-head clashes, consistently controlling game tempo and pinning their opponents deep in their own half. The gap in their defensive records directly reflects the difference in overall strength, with England posting nearly identical levels of performance on both attack and defense regardless of home or away venues. The Czech side has also revamped their squad recently, bringing in multiple high-caliber players that have lifted their overall competitiveness significantly. It remains to be seen which of the two sides will seize the early initiative to claim a favorable result in this fixture. Plagued by a string of freque

England have strung together a solid run of form lately, keeping their winning momentum rolling to lift squad morale to a high level. By contrast, Czech Republic’s recent outputs have been far less consistent, with frequent ups and downs in their match results. Neither side wants to drop points here, so both come into this tie with extremely strong competitive will. Though the two teams are currently navigating a short spell of uneven form, Czech Republic’s recent slump is far more notable, leaving their overall match fitness in question. From a pure strength perspective, the home side can leverage their crowd advantage to control the game on both attacking and defensive ends, backed by their recent 8-game record of 3 wins, 3 draws and only 2 losses. The overall quality gap between the two teams is minimal, as both are fighting to secure qualification for the higher stage of the competition. It remains to be seen whether England can walk away with all three points, or if Czech Repu

    • Switzerland enter their UEFA Nations League clash with North Macedonia in excellent form and with promotion to League A within reach. Murat Yakin's side have won all three of their Group B1 matches, scoring eight goals while conceding just one. Their campaign began with a convincing 3-0 victory over North Macedonia, followed by another 3-0 success against Scotland and a 2-1 comeback win over Slovenia. With nine points and a five-point advantage over their closest rivals, Switzerland could secure promotion with another victory, depending on the outcome of the other group match. Their confidence has grown steadily, and the team appears to have recovered strongly from their disappointing World Cup exit. North Macedonia, in contrast, are experiencing a difficult period under Goce Sedloski. They have lost all three Nations League matches without scoring, suffering defeats against Switzerland, Slovenia and Scotland. Their wider form is even more concerning, as they remain without a goal

    • Croatia and Spain will meet again in the UEFA Nations League, with the contrasting form of both sides setting the stage for another intriguing encounter at Stadion Poljud in Split. Croatia head into the match under enormous pressure after suffering a historic 7-0 defeat to England, their heaviest loss in men's international football and a result that exposed major weaknesses at the back. After conceding 11 goals across their last two matches, Croatia need a strong response to remain firmly in contention in their group. Luka Modric is expected to continue leading the team, while the coaching staff could make changes after such a disappointing performance. Spain, meanwhile, arrive in outstanding form and appear to be operating at another level. Their latest victory over Czechia extended their perfect Nations League record and reinforced their position at the top of the group. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring early before Rodri and Mikel Merino added further goals, while Spain maintai
