Tottenham Hotspur are exploring moves for Chelsea duo Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo as they look to strengthen their squad before the transfer deadline. Spurs have already invested around £380 million on eight new players this summer, but manager Roberto De Zerbi remains keen to add another winger. Their pursuit of Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye has become unlikely after Manchester City reached an agreement for the Senegal international, prompting Tottenham to consider alternative targets.

Mudryk has emerged as a surprising option because of his previous relationship with De Zerbi from their time at Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian winger joined Chelsea from the Ukrainian club for a reported £85 million in January 2023 but has not featured in any of Chelsea’s matchday squads so far this season. He is now eligible to return to competitive football after resolving his lengthy suspension, which kept him out for around 20 months. Tottenham are considering a loan arrangement, although interest from Sunderland, Leeds United and clubs elsewhere in Europe could complicate their plans.

At the same time, Tottenham are considering Tosin as a potential replacement for Kevin Danso, who is pushing to leave the club before the deadline. However, bringing both Chelsea players to North London presents a complication because Premier League regulations limit clubs to one domestic loan from another top-flight side at a time. Since the proposed deal for Mudryk would be a loan, Tottenham would need to complete a permanent transfer for Tosin if they want to sign both players before the deadline. The situation leaves Spurs facing an important decision as they attempt to strengthen both their attack and defence in the final stages of the transfer window.
