Their task now becomes considerably harder against a Madrid side that has been extremely strong at home, having suffered only one LaLiga defeat at the Bernabeu during 2026. History also heavily favors the hosts, with Real Madrid winning four of their last five meetings with Malaga and remaining unbeaten in the previous 11 encounters.
