Question: I just want to know, what impressed you most about this team tonight? Your players seemed ready for any situation. What stood out to you the most about this match?

Luis Enrique: If I’m being completely honest, we knew before the game that this would be a very difficult match because the circumstances were challenging. But the reason we were able to produce this kind of performance is because my players showed their true quality. They have the ability to play the football we have always believed in, even when we are not at our best physically.

I think tonight once again showed the identity of this team, our DNA, and the character of our supporters. They helped us win this trophy and they also helped us maintain our ambition. I really want to highlight that because, as a coach, motivating my players is actually very easy.

Question: Tonight it seemed like your team never had any doubts. Even when you faced difficult moments, you never lost belief. Do you think mentally this is a team that never doubts itself?

Luis Enrique: No, I think there are always moments in games when the opponent can put you under a lot of pressure. Today they did that very well. They even created more chances than we did.

However, we are very clear about the way we want to play and the type of football we want to produce. For most of my players, reaching this level after only the first week of training is not easy. It is extremely difficult. The conditions of the match were also not ideal, and we were playing a final.

But at the end of the day, I think we can be very happy with our performance today. I’m also very pleased to see that my team was able to remain competitive. Once again, this is very important for the club and for our supporters.

We have won the second UEFA Super Cup in the club’s history, even though the conditions tonight were far from perfect.

Question: You have already won so many trophies. When will you stop?

Luis Enrique: I have gained a lot of experience, so I understand very well how difficult it is to bring trophies home, especially at a club with such a strong desire to win.

We love winning titles, our supporters have the same ambition, and I want to help the team achieve that.

Three years ago, we built a very young team. At that time, we received a huge amount of criticism. It was difficult for everyone. People told me that my team was too young and that I would never be able to win any trophies with them.

But in reality, we proved the opposite, and we will continue moving forward with the same mentality.

Of course, there are still many areas where we need to improve. We know our weaknesses as a team, and we know where we can do better. But I am extremely happy to have the opportunity to coach a team with such great personality and character.

Question: Before the Champions League final, PSG fans had a famous slogan: “One time is history, two times is legend.” I think this also applies to the UEFA Super Cup. In some ways, winning this trophy repeatedly is even more difficult because you first need to qualify, then beat another team, and also overcome the uncertainty at the beginning of the season. What does this UEFA Super Cup mean for PSG’s history, the club, and your own career?

Luis Enrique: Yes, if I’m being honest, this is not the most important trophy.

Because if you are playing in this match, it means you have already won the Champions League or the Europa League — in our case, the Champions League.

This is the second consecutive time our club has won this trophy, so of course it is an important achievement. But nobody will judge you based on winning the UEFA Super Cup alone.

However, we will continue trying to remain competitive. At the beginning of the season, being able to maintain this level of competitiveness is very important for us.

We are happy to win this trophy, but we are still far from being back to our normal level and reaching our best condition for the upcoming matches.

We will prepare for this season in the same way as we have done over the past two years. We will keep the same mentality and standards, and we will fight to win every trophy we can.

That is our goal, that is our ambition, and it is also the ambition of the club and our supporters.

Question: What did you think about Akliouche’s performance?

Luis Enrique: I think he actually surprised himself. He was quite surprised that he was included in the starting XI.

But I spoke with him before the match. I told him: “Okay, I don’t know if you are at your best physically right now, but you will play the first half.”

I think he performed extremely well. He played exactly the way I wanted him to, just like he did at Monaco before.

He showed his quality, his personality, and his ability. I am really happy for him because tonight he goes home with a trophy.

I am also very happy to see what kind of player we have signed. I hope in the future we can see more players like him — players who are willing to give everything for the team.

Question: Did tonight’s match make you realize that the team still needs some adjustments in order to win the Champions League for the third consecutive time? Do you think the squad needs further strengthening?

Luis Enrique: Yesterday I talked about trying to win the Champions League for the third consecutive time. Maybe that means we are a little too confident.

But that is our mentality. We try to maintain our ambition, and we try to believe that we can achieve it

Yes, we are a team that has already won two consecutive Champions League titles. That means we certainly have the ability to win it for a third time.

It will be extremely difficult. We do not want to appear selfish or arrogant, but this is our ambition and this is our goal.
