Dusan Vlahovic has reportedly agreed to join Besiktas after becoming a free agent following the expiration of his Juventus contract on June 30. The Serbian striker is set to sign a three-year deal with the Turkish club, ending speculation over his next destination after attracting interest from several teams across Europe.

Besiktas’ proposal ultimately won the race after other interested clubs were unwilling to match Vlahovic’s wage demands. The 30-year-old is expected to earn around €8 million per season, with performance-related bonuses potentially taking his annual package to €10 million. A substantial signing bonus could also be included as part of the agreement.

The move will also reunite Vlahovic with Vincenzo Italiano, who previously coached him at Fiorentina during one of the most productive periods of his career. Besiktas president Serdal Adali has reportedly travelled to Belgrade to complete the remaining paperwork, with the transfer now approaching its final stage.

Vlahovic leaves Serie A after a career that included spells with Fiorentina and Juventus. Juventus paid €85.4 million to sign him in January 2022, but his time in Turin eventually ended without a contract extension. AC Milan, Napoli, Roma, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United were among the clubs lined with him, but Besiktas emerged as the most convincing option. His arrival gives Italiano a familiar attacking figure while offering Vlahovic the chance to begin a new chapter in Turkey.
