Japan national team manager Hajime Moriyasu appeared as a special guest commentator for NHK during the World Cup final broadcast. After the match, Moriyasu expressed his admiration for the spectacle.

“This was an incredible match. The team-building philosophies and unique tactical styles developed by both sides collided in a fierce battle from the opening whistle until the very end,” Moriyasu said.
