AC Milan are reportedly exploring a move for Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui as they continue reshaping their squad for the new season. The Italian giants have entered a new chapter under head coach Ruben Amorim, who is eager to strengthen several areas of the team to make Milan more competitive in domestic and European competitions.
Mazraoui has emerged as one of Amorim's preferred transfer targets due to his tactical versatility and familiarity with the manager's style of play. Primarily a right-back, the Morocco international is equally comfortable on the left flank and has also impressed when deployed as a central defender in a back three. His ability to perform in multiple defensive roles makes him an attractive option for Milan's evolving system.
Reports suggest Milan have already begun initial discussions by hub Mazraoui's representative to express their interest in a potential transfer. Although negotiations remain at an early stage, the Rossoneri are hopeful they can convince the defender to make the switch to San Siro during the current transfer window.
Despite Milan's interest, completing the deal may prove difficult. Manchester United are believed to have no intention of letting Mazraoui leave, with manager Michael Carrick reportedly viewing him as an important part of his plans. Unless the Premier League club changes its position, Milan could face a significant challenge in securing the versatile defender's signature this summer.
