Manchester United are edging closer to completing the signing of Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa as negotiations enter an advanced stage. The Premier League giants are expected to activate the £35 million release clause in the player's contract, while Tielemans is understood to be interested in making the move to Old Trafford despite Villa's desire to keep him.

The experienced midfielder has enjoyed a productive spell at Aston Villa, where he became a key figure in the squad over the past three seasons. His performances played an important role in the club's successful Europa League campaign, while he also carried his impressive form onto the international stage by delivering strong displays for Belgium during the World Cup.

Tielemans is expected to become another major addition to Manchester United's midfield rebuild this summer. His arrival would follow the signing of Andrey Santos, reflecting the club's commitment to strengthening the center of the pitch with players capable of adding creativity, control, and experience.
