RMC published an article today praising France’s midfield commander Michael Olise, stating that the French international is a “magician” when he has the ball and a “running machine” without it, capable of contributing to the team in a variety of situations.
As one of France’s key playmakers, Olise can operate both as an attacking midfielder and on the right wing. The technically gifted left-footed player possesses an extremely rare set of qualities — he can change the rhythm of a match with his explosive dribbling, leaving defenders behind within the first few meters of a run. His sudden changes of direction after feints and shoulder drops are particularly effective, while his technical ability remains among the best.
However, Olise’s talent goes far beyond his individual skills. He understands how to control the tempo of a game, adjusting the pace according to the team’s needs, and he has an exceptional awareness of space on the pitch.
In addition, Olise boasts impressive physical attributes. The former Crystal Palace player is capable of maintaining high-intensity running throughout an entire match while remaining composed in the final third. During this tournament, he has recorded the highest average distance covered among all France players. He can be the magician who creates moments of brilliance, but he can also do the hard work when required.
Beyond his performances on the pitch, Olise has also become one of the most popular figures in the France national team dressing room. His talent has impressed his teammates, who often joke with him and encourage him to open up more. Behind his reserved personality lies a strong character: once he speaks up, especially regarding tactical matters, he never hesitates to express his opinions.
As for his future at Bayern Munich, Olise’s current contract runs until 2029, and the club is hoping to extend his stay. Negotiations are expected to take place after the World Cup. However, if Olise himself decides he wants to leave, the situation could become complicated.
According to several sources close to the matter, a record-breaking offer exceeding €200 million could put Bayern Munich in an extremely difficult position, despite their current determination to keep hold of their prized asset.
For now, however, the situation has not reached that stage, and Bayern fans can remain confident that Olise’s future still lies in Munich.
