South Africa will take on South Korea in the third round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage. According to Xinhua News Agency, South Africa head coach Hugo Broos expressed his frustration at the team's demanding travel schedule during the pre-match press conference, saying: "Travelling across countries for matches is extremely exhausting."

During the group stage of this World Cup, South Africa played their first two matches in Mexico City and Atlanta, United States, respectively. Their third match against South Korea will be held in Monterrey, Mexico.

Broos pointed out that the team not only has to endure long-distance travel but also constantly adapt to different time zones and climate conditions.

"It is very tiring," Broos said. "As the tournament progresses, recovery becomes increasingly difficult. Especially after playing in high temperatures, the players expend a huge amount of energy, and just a few days later they have to travel again."

However, Broos acknowledged that adapting to such challenges is part of the World Cup experience.

"This is the World Cup. We have to adapt, even though it is not easy."

Speaking about South Africa's chances of advancing from the group, Broos said: "Our situation is actually very simple because there is only one thing we need to do — win. If we can reach the knockout stage, it will be a significant moment for South African football. We have an opportunity to make history, and that gives the team tremendous motivation."
